Jocelyn Bojorquez

Biologist and Research Assistant

Hello all!
I am very excited to present to you my first blog post for "Beyond the Tail."
My name is Jocelyn Bojorquez and I am currently a volunteer for the local animal shelters in my small Utah town. I am currently a dog owner (well, more of a dog mom) of a border collie/blue heeler pup. My dog is 9 months old and is insane! But I love her more for it.

My passion for animals started when I was a little kid. I love all animals: dogs, cats, horses, lizards, pigs, speckled dace fish, etc. You get the gist of it. In 2018, I started volunteering for the Cedar City animal shelters because I wanted to make a difference in my community and help dogs find a good home. My main task is to create and distribute flyers for adoptable dogs. With approval and support from the Friends of Festival country K9s and other Cedar City animal shelter members, I will be posting some blogs in order to promote dog adoption from these locations. I will also be writing blog posts that help other dog owners become equipped to better communicate with their new pet to create a healthy home environment.
